The Theatre Hour

My First Formally Published Poem!

Han's first formally published poem, The Theatre Hour, which was included in Pennsylvania's Best Emerging Poets by Z Publishing House. This piece is one of my initial attempts in experimenting with the newly acquired Imagism style, and came almost out of nowhere, as it is a purely fictional poem, a fantasy that occured to me as a montage in a blurry movie. I owe this poem to my unstoppable spiritual wandering, just like I do to many other pieces of mine.

My Imagism

Looking Back On My Journey Of Poetry, and Literature

Upon the completion of a full semester of English poetry course, and the correspondent journey searching into the world of Imagism, of Amy Lowell and of William Carlos Williams, I finally grabbed the moment of reflection, to stand on the top of a hill and look back at the entire trace I have left behind me since the beginning of my imagination, of my own Imagism. The search indeed was hard and made me clueless at times, yet now that I reconcile with my imagination, all proved to be worth it.

On My Bookstack

Poetry may just be like food

This short, 17-line poem, published on Klio, the Penn State Online Literature Magazine, is my first officially published poem in English. I already published many of my Chinese poems in my magazine Bookworms a few years ago, but until last year the world of English poetry remained unexplored for me. Yet with the help with my most kind poetry instructor Julia Kasdorf, when inspiration knocked my door I did not hesitate to accept her with a warm, hearty meal - so much like what this poem says.

Books and Basics

My literature blog enriched by personal incidences with and without books.

The day I started with this blog, I started pouring all my passion and personal emotions about books, text, poetry, and literature as a whole into each and every page that resides in this blog. 20 Blogs weave by themselves a network so gentle in the touch but at the same time burning with my pulse at heartbeats. Come on in, and read my freshmen year story with books, and basics.

A Thing of Beauty is A Joy Forever

In this I hold by faith, and in faith I find courage.

In the safekeeping of this script I put my voices of my sole belief. When up and downs of life shall intertwine, there may never be a thing so invisible but clear to push one forward--and through, and through, until the wind brings back the news of land, until one may rest assured that his has found the joy forever.
